Mission​

The goal of the Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) Austin Young Adult Division (YAD) longhorn chapter is to form a community of students on campus who are interested in learning more about Buddhism. We are an organization dedicated to Buddhism education, community service, and forming life-long friendships. This organization is open for all religions and culture!

BLIA​

BLIA is an international Buddhist organization that applies Humanistic Buddhism in everyday life. This is an organization that belongs to all Buddhists around the world.  It was established by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1992. Since then, over 100 BLIA chapters have been created worldwide such as in the U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Africa, the Phillipines, Japan, etc. Together, our objective is to incorporate the three good deeds - think good thoughts, do good deeds, say good words - in our everyday lives.
